About

Meet Officer Rob

Officer Rob brings nearly four decades of law enforcement experience to Safe Screens, Safe Schools, with a career that has included patrol, community relations, crime prevention, School Resource Officer work, cybercrime investigations involving children, and extensive community outreach.

His experience as a School Resource Officer provided years of firsthand interaction with students, parents, educators, administrators, and the challenges schools face every day. That work increasingly intersected with the digital world as social media, smartphones, gaming, online communication, and emerging technology became inseparable from many of the issues affecting students both inside and outside school.

As an ICAC affiliate and investigator of cybercrimes involving children, Officer Rob has worked cases involving the online risks facing young people and the digital evidence those investigations can produce. That investigative experience helps shape the practical approach behind Safe Screens, Safe Schools: understanding not only what can happen online, but how these situations actually develop and what parents, schools, and law enforcement can do about them.

Education Beyond the Investigation

Much of this work happens before an investigation ever begins. Officer Rob provides presentations and training for students, parents, educators, school districts, School Resource Officers, law enforcement professionals, and community organizations on digital safety, cybercrime, juvenile justice, online exploitation, emerging technology, and school safety.

He also works with My Cyber Safe School and BeSure Consulting, alongside Rich Wistocki, helping bring real-world internet safety and cybercrime education directly to students, families, schools, and professionals.

Why Safe Screens, Safe Schools

Safe Screens, Safe Schools grew from a simple reality: the issues affecting young people online and the issues affecting them at school are increasingly connected. A social media post can become a school threat. An online relationship can become exploitation. Gaming and messaging platforms can become investigative environments. Digital behavior can become evidence, school discipline, or a juvenile justice matter.

Parents need practical information. Students need adults they can trust. Educators need to understand what may be happening beyond the classroom. School Resource Officers and law enforcement need to understand the technology surrounding the young people they serve.

Safe Screens, Safe Schools brings those worlds together.

The Mission

The mission is to help families, schools, law enforcement, and communities better understand the rapidly changing world surrounding today’s tweens and teens—and turn that understanding into practical action that helps keep young people safer online and at school.
